DATE: Georgian, c.1790

A stunning Georgian Giardinetti Aigrette (aka hair-piece) dating from the late 18th Century, circa 1790. It's set with juicy foil backed garnets, and quite wonderfully depicts a bouquet of flowers. It's skilfully crafted, with bright and vibrant flat cut stones; at some point in its life brooch fittings have been added for further versatility.
